What Forms of Payment Are Accepted?
For your convenience Northwest Pet Clinic accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks, CareCredit, and pet insurance (ask one of our staff about how you can enroll). Payment of hospital fees is expected at the time your pet goes home.
We do our best to keep services as affordable as possible. Please do not hesitate to ask in advance about the anticipated cost of care for your pet.
My Pet is Scheduled for a Dental or Surgery. What Should I Know?
Patients requiring anesthetic procedures (e.g., surgery or dentistry) should not have any food after 10:00 p.m. Water can be made available during the night but should be taken up by 6:00 a.m. All pets admitted into the hospital must have current vaccinations. Necessary vaccinations can be updated while they are in the hospital.
For scheduled surgeries, dental cleanings and in-patient medical treatments, we ask that you bring your pet between 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the procedure.

Depending on which location you schedule your appointment will determine which doctor you will see. You are more than welcome to requset an appointment with a specific doctor, however, you will be subject to their availability. Rest assured that all of our doctors are phenomenal and will provide you and your pet with the highest quality care. You can have confidence in working with any of our doctors.

Where Are You Located?
We are on the northeast corner of Ina and Oracle in the 2 story tan building next to Brakemasters across the street from the Safeway plaza.
La Canada Location: We are located on the west side of La Canada between Orange Grove and Ina (next door to the Animal Inn).
What are your examination fees?
Our scheduled exam fee is $55.00. If you are visiting our hospital for the first time you can print your registration forms from the Patient Center. If you arrive for an unscheduled work-in visit, our fee is $71.61. If you arrive on an emergency basis the exam fee is $88.52. We are always willing to see your pet.
Are You Open On the Weekends?
Yes. Our Ina location is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8AM-5PM. Our La Canada location is open on Saturdays from 8AM-5PM.

Should I Bring Anything At the Time Of My Vaccine Appointment?
Our doctors and the Center for Disease Control recommend providing us with a fecal sample to check yearly for intestinal parasites. Certain types of parasites can also be transmitted from dogs and cats to humans.
Should My Pet Be On Heartworm Preventative?
Our doctors do recommend having your pet on a preventative. We provide Interceptor; this medicine provides protection against heartworm, roundworm, hookworm, and whipworms. The amount of heartworm disease cases grows more each year in Tucson and around the country. It is less expensive to prevent Transmission of heartworm disease than it is to treat it. The Transmission of heartworm occurs by a mosquito bite.
How are you different from my neighborhood vet?
Unlike most neighborhood veterinarians, we are a full service facility that utilizes many of the the same diagnostic equipment which the specialty and emergency hospitals use and we're open 7 days a week with late evening hours.
