We moved to our new hospital in 1995. At over 3000 square feet, the Northwest Pet Clinic is one of the largest veterinary hospitals in the the Tucson area. The Northwest Pet Clinic is a full-service small animal hospital. We have in-house radiology, diagnostic laboratory, surgical and hospitalization facilities.
On premises we have a full Radiology Department which can provide routine xrays as well as special studies. We also have Cardiology services with capabilities to record ECGs on animals - enabling a more complete diagnosis of heart diseases and may help to make anesthetic and surgical procedures safer.
The Diagnostic Laboratory provides a wide variety of laboratory tests. Results of routine tests such as screening for internal parasistes, urinalysis, diabetes, leukemia, heartworms, liver and kidney function, anemia and infections are available on the same day. More complex or specialized tests are performed by a reference laboratory and results are usually available in 24 hours.
The Northwest Pet Clinic has a complete Surgical Suite capable of performing almost every procedure, from routine spays and neuters to ceasareans and orthopedic surgeries. We have diagnostic, monitoring and safety features to help ensure the safety of your pet. Specialized equipment is employed to monitor our patients' physiologic condition during surgery. A surgical technician is always in attendance to monitor patient status and assist the surgeon.
Compassionate care is an important part of proper medical care. Pets recovering from surgery are closely supervised and given pain medications to ease their discomfort during their stay in our hospital.
Admissions
Appointments can be made by calling us at (520) 742-4148. Click on Services for our office hours. A drop-off service is available for your convenience. For scheduled surgeries, dental cleanings and in-patient medical treatments, we ask that you bring your pet between 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. on the morning of the procedure.
Patients requiring anesthetic procedures (e.g., surgery or dentistry) should not have any food after 5:00 p.m. Water can be made available during the night but should be taken up by 6:00 a.m. All pets admitted into the hospital must have current vaccinations. Necessary vaccinations can be updated while they are in the hospital.

We continually strive to provide the most progressive medical, diagnostic and surgical services possible. We do our best to keep services as affordable as possible. Please do not hesitate to ask in advance about the anticipated cost of care for your pet.
For your convenience Northwest Pet Clinic accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks, and pet insurance (ask one of our staff about how you can enroll). Payment of hospital fees is expected at the time your pet goes home.
